Three residents of the municipality of La Sonnaz and, incidentally, also parents of more or less young children (primary school with orientation cycle) wish to develop, in collaboration with the school of engineering and architecture of Fribourg, a local carpooling application.
The application is, according to the principals, necessary and beneficial for the whole municipality. The community will be able to benefit from easier access and thus potentially encourage a new population to settle there by indirectly improving the quality of life. The desire to reduce the CO2 footprint and limit traffic jams due to overcrowded roads is also very strong. The use of the application will be open to all members of the municipality, any interested person can either enjoy the service as a passenger or as a driver if she or he meets some preliminary criteria.
